Last year we had a wonderful response trying to find a name for our provincial seafood festival. Eventually , with the help of many we decided to go with the Songs, Stages and Seafood Festival. Last years event was a huge success , we did what we wanted to do, profile music, dance and food all inspired by the sea! It was a melting pot of our culture, it appealed to our senses and was certainly a pleasant surprise for those who were unsure of this new shoulder season event. The team of chefs were second to none, the musicians and dancers captivated the festival participants. I was particularly proud of our staff and volunteers who worked so hard to ensure this was a top shelf event.
We are now into our second year and the event is only 2 weeks away!! Chefs are working on their menu’s and entertainment is booked. This week we will be working on our inventory of plates, utensils, decorations, signage, and of course decorations. Our team is working hard to ensure we build a unique and sustainable product that promotes all things from the sea. I invite you to take part in this celebration. There is truly something for everyone ,if you want to sample food, have a amazing dining experience, take in a workshop, watch a demo, submit a chowder for our chowder challenge, or listen to some of the best music our province has to offer, we have it all!!
Take a look at our poster, it will give you a better picture of the weekends events and the amazing talent that will be here!!>>>
